The Metamorphic Technique® - What it is, and isn't
Founded by Gaston Saint-Pierre in the 1970s, the practice of the Metamorphic Technique® can offer a space where we can be ourselves, just as we are right now, while at the same time pointing to the potential for transformation that is always available to us; the movement from who we are to what we can be and already are in potential.
The Practice involves light and gentle touch on specific areas of the feet, hands and head, together with a specific type of detachment which operates as the heart of this work; we call this a Session. By working in this way, we are able to provide the person who comes for a session with an environment free from direction, interference, judgement and preconceived ideas. It's easy to do, easy to learn and easy to share.
It is not a treatment or cure for any condition, it's not a therapy, not energy nor spiritual work.
Sessions are easy to fit into everyday life and Metamorphic Technique® can be used alongside a therapy and medical care but it is not itself therapeutic; there are no contraindications and no desired outcomes or benefits from a session and it's suitable and safe for everyone regardless of circumstance and any life situation.
How do I know if it's for me?
We can sometimes feel a hunger to create something new in our life but aren't sure what it is. Sometimes we just want to stop the world and rest a while. Sometimes we simply want feel a bit better about ourselves and our lives or help someone else to do so. Sometimes we want to try something new and feel refreshed from that 'new to us' discovery. Sometimes we're curious for a clearer understanding of the world and the universe and our place in it.
There doesn't need to be anything wrong for this to feel right for you, if this feels right for you then follow that, and if it doesn't then just go with that.
